We took a day trip last week to Dallas Market to scope out some new trends, vendors, and inspiration for the new year. Oh, and of course we got real friendly with the open buffets and yummy treats that each showroom had prepared for us. The market was filled with amazing pieces of every style – Here’s some of our favorite finds!

TRENDS

Color-wise, the seventies revival is alive and well – mustard, rust, olive green, and rouge all made an appearance. Channel tufted furniture was certainly celebrated throughout several showrooms and it gave us major vintage-chic vibes! We saw a lot of rattan, shagreen, and velvet used in both traditional ways and incorporated with mid-century furniture styles. There was a huge focus on natural, earthy elements being used for a variety of pieces. Kelly Wearstler’s recent lighting collection displays carved alabaster stone and Gabby Furniture featured a chest wrapped in natural seagrass – both had a relaxed, yet luxurious feel to them.

FUN FINDS

So many vendors and beautiful pieces had us in awe, but there were a few unique finds that we have been obsessing over ever since we saw them in Dallas. Tech Lighting and Chapman & Myers blew us away with their sleek, modern chandelier designs. We also found a room divider by Global Views that is a perfect combination of art and lighting, creating a modern masterpiece. Feizy Rugs was the first showroom that we visited and wow, did they set the bar high for the rest of the day! Their rugs featured the most exceptional patterns, detail, and color combos.
