It is officially Autumn and you know what that means – pumpkin everything and cozy decor! To describe this post in one word it would be: Hygge [hue-guh]. The word is Danish and is used to describe the sense of coziness someone creates for themselves, family and friends in their home. To me Hygge is the definition of Autumn decor! You get to pull out your plush throws, light all the candles and have family and friends over for dinner and a warm drink! Below I have thrown out some quick and easy ways to decorate for this most wonderful time of the year!

Changing your everyday white candles to a black or beeswax (my favorite at the moment) is a simple and easy way to transition from Summer to Autumn. I also love this little skull Harlow James has in her entry way!

Instead of live and bright floral use branches or dried floral. Check out Terrain for an entire list of dried floral options. I have listed some of my favorites below. You can find vases like the ones pictured above at your local Home Goods, or even Hobby Lobby.

When it comes to pumpkins I tend to lean toward the white and grey pumpkins. I feel that they are easier to add to an existing home palette than an orange jack o’ lantern. To use them around your home place a bowl of small white pumpkins in clusters on your- coffee table, kitchen table or night stand. Without having to invest in traditional Halloween decor you can use dark fruits or pine cones in a bowl to harness that Fall feel!
