There are many different vintage rug types out there ranging from Moroccan, Turkish, Persian, and Kilim just to name a few. The main way to tell the difference in these rugs are by the design type. Persain and Turkish rugs typically have a medallion or some type of elegant design in them with a decorative border. Moroccan rugs are usually thicker and more coarse while Kilim rugs are made from a flat weaving technique making them a lot thinner than Moroccan rugs.
