We were honored to work with ICON, who have developed a method for printing a single-story 650-square-foot house out of cement in only 12 to 24 hours, a fraction of the time it takes for new construction. ICON has partnered with New Story, a nonprofit that is vested in international housing solutions to help bring this housing to underdeveloped communities worldwide, starting with El Salvador.
With bright colors and desert vibes in mind, we designed and staged both the interior and exterior of the home in a way that would compliment this award-winning structure as it was showcased at SXSW 2018 and SXSW 2019.
