Last week our Design Assistant, Erica, spent a few days discovering new trends and living her best life at Las Vegas Market. This event showcases a whopping five-million square feet full of home furnishings, lighting, decor, and gifts. Yes, Erica’s feet are still hurting from all that walking around, but she brought back a whole lot of inspiration for us! Here’s some of the main trends that Erica saw at Vegas Market, along with some of her favorite finds.
Trends
Overall, Vegas Market featured a lot of unexpected finishes and textures, as well as an “all gold everything” aesthetic. Color-wise there were both brights and pastels seen throughout the showrooms; particularly mauve, olive green, mustard, and a navy/ochre combo. The furniture this year was bigger and better than ever, as a majority of the pieces were thick and oversized. Boucle, natural linens, and deco motifs seemed to be extremely popular in upholstery, while rattan and cane made an appearance in just about every showroom. Fluted and ribbed glass was seen a good amount throughout light fixtures, as well as vases and other decorative accessories.
Fave Finds
There were a few vendors and pieces in particular that had Erica head over heels. Bloomingville’s accessories were adorable and perfect for any space. Erica loved how they were placed throughout the little vignettes and made each space feel cohesive. European Kitchen Bath Tile and Stone also had some very unique finds that caught her eye. Their showroom displayed a glamorous sink covered in pearls and gold embellishments, as well as a modern lighted vanity. A stunning console table from Four Hands also gave us major heart eyes! The piece is sleek, neutral, and can bring the perfect amount of shape to an area.
